Financial instruments - Market integrity - Insider trading - Market abuse
On 17 November 2014 Joris Raport, Joeiri Danhieux and Régine Feltkamp gave, together with R. Van Gysel, an overview of the Belgian Business Code (Wetboek Economisch Recht / Code de droit économique) at the HUB Brussels.

The Belgian Business Code codifies the main Belgian acts governing business activities.

Régine Feltkamp, who was commissioned by the FPS Economy, SMEs, Self-Employed and Energy, to prepare - together with Prof. Dr. Koen Byttebier - a first draft of the Code, explained the purpose of the Code and gave a general explanation on its structure and of the 18 books that form together the Belgian Business Code.

Joeri Danhieux assisted Régine Feltkamp in this general overview and gave a further explanation as to the main changes in respect of the legal principles applicable to the organisation of businesses.

Joris Raport gave an overview of the novelties introduced by Book XI ‘Intellectual property rights’.
